Each month, HubSpot releases a variety of exciting updates aimed at helping HubSpot users to maximise the potential of its platform. Below, we’ve shared a handful of HubSpot’s August updates that we believe businesses should know. If you’re wondering where July’s updates are, these were mentioned across the June and August updates with HubSpot taking their ‘week of rest’ in July.
HubSpot have launched their own AI Content Assistant across all hubs and tiers, with no waitlist. This is currently in Public Beta.
There are a variety of things that Content Assistant will enable marketing teams to do. However, we think that Content Assistant will be most beneficial to marketing teams by reducing inefficiencies in areas such as:
Watch HubSpot’s video below to find out more about how your business could use Content Assistant:
Currently, when you go into the CTAs tool, it splits the CTAs into two views, one being ‘beta’ and one being ‘legacy’.
This update means that instead of having one area for pop up and custom-designed CTAs (e.g., pop ups sit under ‘beta’) and one for button CTAs (sits under ‘legacy’), all CTAs will be housed in one place in the main CTA nav under ‘Marketing’.
Not only does this update makes it easier for HubSpot users to navigate the CTA functionality, but it shows HubSpot’s commitment to enabling users to make more dynamic and modern CTAs, meaning your marketing team can really tailor each CTA to your brand.
Available for all Pro and Enterprise users and currently in public beta, HubSpot users are now able to book meetings on behalf of others through a round-robin rotation, from the contact, company, deal, or ticket record in HubSpot. This means that Sales Hub Pro+ users can select a meeting rotation that will allow HubSpot to tell the booking rep which sales rep is “up next” to take the meeting.
This update is great for sales teams, as sales reps will no longer have to battle with workarounds to schedule meetings or keep track of which reps are booking meetings for other team members.
For Starter, Pro and Enterprise HubSpot users, you can now do more with the deal tag and ticket tag properties. For example, you can view them on the record page, but also use them in workflows and reporting. This means it’ll be much quicker for your sales team to understand and prioritise the most vital deals in your HubSpot.
Workflow users with Pro or Enterprise can now create custom workflow views to set up folders within folders, meaning your marketing team can create a folder hierarchy that matches your business’ automation strategy.
Pro and Enterprise users can now copy and paste actions across workflows! This means that your marketing teams can efficiently create workflows and reduce the likelihood of human error occurring, helping them save time to focus on your marketing strategy.
Please note that this update is currently in public beta.
Starter, Pro and Enterprise users are now able to map custom dropdown and multi-select fields as part of a data sync. This feature will help your teams import vital data more easily and efficiently.
This is a very exciting update for marketing teams! Pro and Enterprise users are now able to utilise marketing email analytics as a data source in the custom report builder.
This means that your marketing teams will now have access to create reports based on key email performance metrics, such as open rate and click-through rate, allowing them to quickly report on performance.
Within the advanced formula builder, Pro and Enterprise users can create custom number formulas and calculations to suit the needs of the business.
This advanced formula builder will help your marketing and sales teams transform raw data into actionable insights quickly and easily, whether they’re analysing the success of a marketing campaign or analysing customer behaviour. This update is currently in public beta.
Pro and Enterprise users can now customise how their calculated properties are shown in HubSpot. This will give your marketing and sales teams the complete flexibility and control to display the data they need, how they need it, whether that’s in a formatted or unformatted number, currency, percentage, or duration.
Available for all HubSpot users and currently in public beta, users can now track whether a contact in HubSpot clicks on a LinkedIn carousel ad. If they do, an ad interaction will be marked on the contact record, meaning your marketing team can utilise this data to create specific email follow ups to target that lead, enabling them to see the true ROI from your LinkedIn marketing.
All HubSpot users can utilise this feature that automatically captures incoming form submissions with URLs in the name fields that are identified as spam and marks them in the ‘Spam Submissions’ area for your CRM Managers to review. Once 90 days has passed, the spam submissions will be deleted automatically.
This update will help alleviate any manual work previously required by your team to review and remove spam submissions.
HubSpot’s Salesforce integration now has a new embed available to enable Pro and Enterprise users to have access to a timeline of insights, contact and company insights, property history and more. This will allow your sales team to access the power of HubSpot and the ability to trigger automation, all from within Salesforce.
This public beta update for all HubSpot users means that your sales and marketing teams can now see the properties that are being used by Data Sync and the Salesforce integration throughout HubSpot via the ‘Used In’ column.
This means that your sales and marketing teams will be more in sync, as users will better understand how the properties in HubSpot are being mapped to their integrations.
This new feature in public beta will enable all HubSpot users to create HubSpot tasks and tickets from within Microsoft Teams. This means that your customer service team will reduce any inefficiencies from switching platforms mid conversation as they can create HubSpot tasks and tickets within Microsoft Teams.
All HubSpot users will be able to see critical CRM activities data in the preview sidebar on index, board, record pages and more, without needing to go to the full record timeline. These activities include any pinned activity and the latest 3 communications, meaning that sales reps can see critical information straight away, helping to reduce time wastage from having to manually go into a contact record to see key information.
Pro and Enterprise HubSpot users will benefit from this public beta update, whereby HubSpot will conduct daily AI-powered checks in your CRM for duplicate contact and company records. This new feature will also show HubSpot users potential matches to merge with, helping your teams to keep your company’s CRM clean and up-to-date.
